About the Artist

Hello, I come from the North East of England, currently based in Newcastle upon Tyne. My artwork is created with traditional materials, my favourites being gouache and watercolour paints. Often featuring blooming flowers and local wildlife, my work is inspired by my wanderings in nature.

To inquire about becoming a stockist of my work (or anything else), you can send me a message via my contact page or email me directly at jennihawkinsart@gmail.com

FAQ

Do you accept commissions? Generally I do not accept commissions but I do make exceptions - usually in the case of it being business related as opposed to personal. Working by commission isn’t something that is usually profitable or practical for my working practice and how long it takes to create my artwork.

What does ‘Giclée’ mean? Giclée printing refers to a printmaking method specifically made for reproducing artwork. The process involves using a much wider range of pigments to achieve richer and more accurate colour, essential to my artwork! In terms of both archival paper and ink quality, standards must be met so that it can be classed as a ‘Fine Art Giclée Print’. Archival products are designed to resist fading colour over time and through exposure to sunlight.

What’s the difference between an ‘Open’ and ‘Limited’ edition print? An open edition means there is no set number of prints to be made, it has no numbered limit. A limited edition means only a set number will ever be made meaning when they are all sold there will never be any more produced. Every limited edition print is numbered in pencil on the back.
